A gorgeous night with a half moon to perfectly light the pines...
Beautiful! Up hwy 88?
very very nice! i love long exposure and this is great!
Absolutely stunning! You are an inspiration.
Such amazing clarity here...exceptional image Leasha
It's so fabulous to have such a clear, dark sky and a little bit of moon too! You did a great job with it.
sigh, oh to have been there in that moment!
You would have loved this place Art! So quiet and peaceful and needless to say, beautiful!
this is great
Oh (insert expletive of choice here) yeah Leasha!!! Wonderful capture. 1/3 to 1/2 moon phase is rapidly becoming my favorite time to shoot night sky scapes. I have actually been waiting for this to appear in my message feed ever since Ruth mentioned on FB that you were all out shooting a few nights ago. One thing I will say though is it appears a little bit to purple on my screen. It may well be DA messing with your image again. Do you have this on your website?
Thank you so much Greg!! Now that I have the night shooting somewhat down, I need to work a little more on my post processing.... The magenta didn;t change it much, it was more the blues, but if I went up too much on the blues it turned the stars blue and I wanted them mostly white... Also, with the moonlight, it seems to change the exposure, although I love the way it lights the foreground object, no light painting at all.... I'm torn between a little moon or no moon and a little light painting I will just keep practicing with shooting and processing and someday I may be close to as good as you are, now time to try some night panos!! I'll be in the desert this week for the full blue moon, lets see if I can make something happen with that!! :hugggle:
I just tracked it down on your website and it looks the same. I would perhaps just bring the magenta channel down a bit, but color is so subjective in these sort of images. It looks great regardless.
sigh. just not fair. LOL. But we had fun trying
Why you sighing?? I know you and Cait got some awesome shots! If you want to send me what you think is your best one I can play with it
this is gorgeous!!! what lens and body you use? iso?, f?, shutter speed? thanks
Thank you so much! I use a Canon 5DMKIII, Tamron 24-70 2.8 lens, this was a 25 sec exposure F4.0, iso 2000
OMG, the stars are amazing!!! Gorgeous photo my friend.
